During our studies of various collections of Halictinae from New-Guinea and Bismarck Archipelago, 54 species were found: 2 Sphecodes (subgenera Sphecodes and Callosphecodes), 3 Pachyhalictus, 1 Urohalictus, 3 Lasioglossum (subgenera Parasphecodes, Nesohalictus and Ctenonomia) and 45 Homalictus (5 Papualictus and 40 Homalictus s.str.). The distribution and ecology of all twenty species of Hylaeus Fabricius, 1793 occurring in The Netherlands are discussed. A comprehensive key (in English) to the species of The Netherlands and adjacent areas is given. The maps illustrating the distribution within The Netherlands are based upon ca. 10,000 specimens. The collection of the Leiden Museum and literature sources were used in preparing the maps showing the distribution in Europe. Two species, H. pfankuchi and H. styriacus, have not been recorded from the Netherlands since 1950.

The author gives a preliminary list of all valid names of the species and subspecies of the Palaearctic Osmiini, including genera and their subgenera and notes on their distribution. Since Ducke (1900) no comprehensive study of this group of bees has been published. The list is a first step towards a complete revision and should be useful to future workers on this group.

1. Inleiding In de serie verspreidingsatlassen van de Nederlandse Aculeate vliesvleugeligen ligt nu die van de spinnendoders (Pompilidae) voor U. Eerder zijn er een atlas van 64 soorten graafwespen (Lefeber, 1979) en een van de niet parasitaire Megachilidae (Van der Zanden, 1982) gepubliceerd. Atlassen van de overige graafwespen zijn in voorbereiding. Spinnendoders zijn in Nederland meestal geheel zwart gekleurd of zwart met een gedeeltelijk rood achterlijf. Ze leven op zandige terreinen, aan bosranden, in moerassen, in wegbermen e.d. The distribution and phenological data of the Cephidae and Argidae from the Netherlands are given. Janus compressus (Fabricius, 1793) is for the first time reported from The Netherlands. Important morphological characters are illustrated and keys to the Dutch species are given. Short notes on synonymy, size and biology are added. Hylotoma tarda Klug, 1814 is synonymized with H. melanura Klug, 1814.

The genera of the subfamily Microtypinae are revised and two new genera are described and illustrated. Plesiotypus gen. nov. (type species: P. depressus spec. nov.) from India and Neomicrotypus gen. nov. (type species: N. penai spec, nov.) from Chile. Keys to the genera of Microtypinae and to the species of Plesiotypus are added. Plesiotypus fullawayi (Beardsley, 1961) is a new combination.

The genus Microtypus Ratzeburg, 1848 (Braconidae: Microtypinae) is revised, its species are keyed, and a new species, M. petiolatus van Achterberg spec. nov. is described. The type species is redescribed and fully illustrated. The genus Similearinus Glowacki & Karpinski, 1967 is a new junior synonym of Microtypus; S. ilinskyi Glowacki & Karpiński, 1967 is a new junior synonym of Microtypus trigonus (Nees, 1834), and M. dioryctriae Rohwer, 1920 of M. wesmaelii Ratzeburg, 1848. For both senior synonyms neotypes are designated. The Malagasian species that have been placed in Microtypus are excluded and transferred to the genus Stantonia Ashmead, 1904.

Two new species of the genus Homolobus Foerster, 1862, one from Lombok, Java, the other from New Guinea, are described. The genus Westwoodiella Szépligeti, 1904, is redescribed and illustrated; the new tribe Westwoodiellini is created to include it in the subfamily Homolobinae. Oxaea mourei, sp.n is described, from Paraná State, Brazil. This new species is most closely related to O. schwarzi. They may be easily distinguished from each other since the hairs in O. mourei are yellow-golden while those of O. schwarzi are mostly black. The eyes of the male in O. schwarzi are strongly convergent above and those of O. mourei are weakly diverging above.

A comparative study of some characters as: the lenght of the mesepisternal carina (almost complete or short), the shape of the scutellum (flattened or bilobed), and only in the male: the shape of the distal terga and of the sterna (normal or with some sterna hidden) and the lenght of the basal articles of the flagellum (short or longer than their diameter) resulted in distinguishing Anthidulum from Dicranthidium as good genera separated from Hypanthidioides Moure. Revision of the genus Tropobracon Cameron (Hymenoptera: Braconidae)

The genus Tropobracon Cameron, 1905 (Braconidae: Braconinae) is revised and its species are keyed. The type species is re-described and fully illustrated. Two new species are described: T. comorensis spec. nov. from the Comores and T. infuscatus spec. nov. from Hong-Kong. Bracon dorsalis Matsumura, 1910 and Tropobracon luteus var. indica Ramakrishna Ayyar, 1928 are synonymized with T. luteus Cameron, 1905.
